Cold Season Lobster Ginger Millet Soup

  • 1/4 cup millet
  • 1 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tsp Better than Boullion lobster base
  • 1/2 cup sliced frozen mixed peppers
  • 4 oz diced summer turkey sausage
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp ginger powder
  • pinch saffron
  • 1 tsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 3 washed and chopped young carrots ( stem removed)
  • Salt & Pepper



In a small pot mix all ingredients on low heat and simmer covered for 20 minutes


Serve with extra cayenne and some basil or arugula shoots for garnish, if you have energy

Sick? Throw a the list of ingredients above into a pot and simmer it for about 20 minutes. The extra ten minutes in the recipe is because your probably moving a bit slower than normal having to blow your nose and attempting to walk straight from the blankets covering you. Since your vision is a bit hazy as well, I’ll keep this short and sweet. Ginger and cayenne will open up your sinuses, the broth helps warm you up, the veggies give you vitamins, and the millet and sausage keep you full so your free to lay in bed the rest of the day. Get better!
