I bought this wood serving block that resembles a pebble at the Hem pop up store in Soho so I needed something to place on it to showcase for you guys so here you go. Just kidding, but the yogurt really does pop against the black wood, I almost did not want to eat it. The pebble board is one of my favorite new pieces so expect to see it in lots of images. Adding the lemon zest to the plate just make it bewitching. This whipped yogurt is so good that it doesn’t matter where you eat it off of, a banana leaf, a bowl, your fingers…
Whipped yogurt is nothing fancy, its just thick Greek yogurt with a dash of added heavy cream and vanilla bean so its literally like whipped cream. The good news is that is heavier on the yogurt side it still passes for a good breakfast option, especially if you are the type that likes to start your day on the sweeter side of life. The halva, which is a Greek ( some may say middle-eastern) sweet made from tahini, a sesame seed paste, and mixed with sugar gives it tons of calcium and vitamins E, B1, B2, B5 and of course protein. It also adds a crystallized texture, that when combined with the creamy yog=urt dotted with black specks of vanilla and crunchy pecan bits is enough to make anyone salivate.
